Who Am I: I’m a Pakistani down to the core, born on 3rd-September-1984. Educated to be a Telecom Engineer (Batch 2002, FAST-NU), I have a very keen and sensitive eye to the every day problems faced by my society, and always looking around to find ways to contribute in solving them. The major areas that need to be focused are Education, Civic Sense and General Awareness. I believe that the lack of Industrial Backbone is the major hindrance towards our economic stability. I plan to set foundations for Strong Industrial Backbone in our country with focus on Consumer Products, by promoting entrepreneurship culture and product oriented research activities.
CURRENT APPOINTMENT: Working as an Research Engineer and Team Lead in PRMS (Remote Patient Monitoring System) Project at nexGIN RC, FAST National University, Islamabad, Pakistan since July, 2008. In RPMS project his key responsibility is to Design a Low Cost Medical Sensor Box to measure the vital parameters of patients in remote areas and send the collected data to the hospital servers for analysis and decision making. The sensors included in the box are Blood Pressure, SpO2, Height, Weight, Temperature, Pulse etc. For project details please visit http://rpms.nexginrc.org This project is Winners of World Summit Youth Award selected out of 612 submissions from 102 different countries. HONORS AND DISTINCTIONS · Runner UP for PASHA ICT Awards 2009 in Research and Development Category. · Third position award in All Pakistan Engineering Project Competition NASCON 2007. · Pioneer of FAST Robotics Society and Electronics Hobby Club at FAST-NU · Flight Commander, Leadership Camping and Training course Kalabagh. · Supervised (Telecom Engineering 2009) Final Year Projects 1. Design and Implementation of PABX 2. Intelligent Remote Imaging and Surveillance IRIS
RESEARCH INTERSTS: Embedded System design for Biomedical Engineering Applications, Low cost commercial product design techniques and use of robots for novel applications EDUCATION: · B.S. Hons in Telecommunication Engineering, FAST-NU, Islamabad. · FSc Pre Engineering, (2000-2002); PAF Degree College Peshawar · SSC, (1998-2000); PAF Degree College Rafiqui, Shorkot Cantt COURSES /TRAINING: · Image and Video Processing (Embedded DSP Platform), Skill Development Council. · Chip Designing Using FPGA’s, Skill Development Council · Project Management, TEO, 2009-
EXPERIENCE: AND-OR LOGIC Worked as “Design Engineer” at “AND-OR LOGIC” in embedded system Design department on PABX project, where we designing Military Field Exchange MX-164E for PAK ARMY. Worked on various aspects of project including software, Hardware and Mechanical designing, assembling, debugging, ordering/procurement, product testing and Field Trials. · Using ARM7TDMI, MSP430 microprocessors and CPLD (xc95144xl) designed and developed Operating Console, for PABX. which along with controlling the peripherals i.e. Temperature sensor, LCD, keypad, RTC, Status Panel, Operator Ringer, Head Gear etc., communicated with master processor and operator SLIC to carry out all Operator functions. · Designed Power Board for exchange which included Reverse Battery Protection, Noise Filtering, Line Voltage Generation, DC/DC converter, Battery Charger and Switching Power Regulators. · Solved hardware design problems of TKG186 (True key generator) for generating random data, which is used in many encryption related projects to generate access keys. · Designed Li-Ion smart battery charger, capable of switching from Fast charging mode to Trickle mode by sensing Battery Pack Voltage and Temperature. It also switched from main line to backup power without dropping communication between various modules.
ELEKTRO CONTROL INDUSTRIES(ECI) Designed and Developed “Project Tracking System” for ECI using visual Basic and MS ACCESS, worked on their Online Computerized Attendance System Design using software engineering approach. NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPLEX(NDC) Interfaced CNC machine using Trio’s Motion Coordinator MC-206(Embedded system) and PC-104 using Trio Basic and VC, designed drives for the motors.
